Meher Baba is seen in a private garden in Greenwich Village using his alphabet
board to describe his mission to America. This unedited footage includes several

Meher Baba at Harmon-on-Hudson, 1932
Discovered in the Sherman Grinberg Library in 1994, this two-minute
Paramount newsreel was taken a few days after the Movietone news film described
above (May 1932). It shows brief glimpses of Meher Baba at age 38 with Indian
and Western followers at a rustic retreat north of New York City. Baba is seen
drawing and drinking water from a well. Also included on the tape is a letter
about the film from Baba’s sister, Mani, read by Ann Conlon. 8 minutes.

Responding to the call of his lovers, Meher Baba made a two-week
“mass darshan tour in the central Indian state of Andhra Pradesh,
where thousands hailed him as the Avatar of the Age. The 16mm documentary film
of this tour contains some of the most beautiful images of Meher Baba ever recorded.
With permission of The Avatar Meher Baba Perpetual Public Charitable Trust, this
film was processed, edited and enhanced using modern video technology. Many of
the resulting images show Meher Baba in more color, clarity and detail than the
original film. This video presents a selection of these breathtaking scenes of
Meher Baba with his Eastern lovers. The video is accompanied by an original soundtrack

Scenes from Meher Baba’s Tour of the United States,
1956
On his 1956 world tour, Meher Baba spent two weeks visiting devotees
in New York City, in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and in Los Angeles, Ojai and
San Francisco, California. At Meher Baba’s request, Charmian Duce Knowles
made a documentary film of the entire tour. This video presents highlights from
the film, edited and enhanced for videotape, showing the Master at work and play
with his Western lovers. An original musical soundtrack features the Women’s

Darshan Scenes from the East-West Gathering
In what he called the most important meeting of this Avataric
advent, Meher Baba brought together 5,000 of his devotees from the East and the
West for four days in November 1962. This video presents scenes of Meher Baba’s
